How to Set Up a Static Stream Key

Rumble can now fit into a creator’s existing streaming setup. Creators can stream to Rumble while also restreaming to other platforms. Static keys reduce setup time and replace the old “create stream, copy key, paste key” workflow.

What Is a Static Stream Key?

A Static Stream Key is a universal stream URL and key that does not change.

Instead of creating a new livestream on Rumble and copying a new URL and key into your streaming software each time, your Static Stream Key stays the same.

You can set it up once, keep it saved, and use it as your ongoing connection to Rumble.

This is especially useful if you stream from OBS, StreamYard, Restream, or another encoder and want Rumble to be part of your regular live workflow. You can keep Rumble connected alongside your other streaming destinations and go live with fewer setup steps.

With a Static Stream Key, you can:

  • Stream to Rumble without updating your key each time

  • Keep Rumble set up inside your streaming software

  • Use Rumble alongside other platforms in your restreaming workflow

  • Go live faster with fewer setup steps

  • Use templates to create new Rumble streams automatically

How to Create a Static Stream Key

  1. Visit the Static Stream Key section of your account.

  2. Click Create new static stream key.

  3. Copy the new stream URL and stream key into your streaming software.

  4. Optional: Associate a live stream template with your static key using the dropdown menu.

Once added, you can keep this key saved in your encoder and use it whenever you want to stream to Rumble.

How Does It Work?

Your Static Stream Key acts as a redirect for your Rumble livestreams. It connects your streaming software to the correct Rumble livestream, even when you create new streams across different channels on your account.

There are two main ways to use it:

1. Manually created live streams

You can still create a live stream on Rumble the way you normally would, whether it is a Go Live Now stream or a scheduled stream.

When you are ready to stream, use your Static Stream Key from your streaming software instead of copying the unique key generated for that specific stream.

This is a better workflow if you regularly stream to Rumble and want to avoid updating your encoder every time.

2. Template-based live streams

You can also associate a live stream template with your Static Stream Key.

With this setup, you can go live directly from your streaming software, and Rumble will automatically create a new stream using the details from your selected template.

This means you do not need to create the live stream on Rumble first. You can start from your encoder and let the template handle the setup.

This is ideal for creators who want Rumble to work as part of a recurring production or restreaming workflow.

Using Rumble in a Restreaming Workflow

If you stream to multiple platforms, a Static Stream Key makes it easier to keep Rumble included in your setup.

You can save your Rumble Static Stream Key inside your streaming software or restreaming tool, the same way you would save any other destination. Once it is saved, Rumble can stay connected as part of your regular broadcast workflow.

This helps replace the previous process of logging in, creating a stream, copying a new key, and updating your encoder before each broadcast.

Important Notes

You can ignore the unique URL and stream key generated each time you create a new video on Rumble, as long as you are using your Static Stream Key.

Your Static Stream Key is designed to replace that repeated copy-and-paste workflow.

However, if you ever have trouble connecting with your Static Stream Key, use the stream-specific URL and key generated for that individual livestream as a backup.

You can delete your Static Stream Key at any time to revoke access from any software, tool, or source that has it. Treat your Static Stream Key like a password and avoid sharing it publicly.
