Creator Shorts Strategy:

Drive discovery at scale:
Use Shorts as the top of your funnel — hooks, hot takes, highlights, to pull new people into your Rumble presence.
Test ideas quickly:
Try formats, topics, and hooks in short-form first; what spikes engagement there can later be expanded into long-form or a series.
Humanize and stay present:
Share behind-the-scenes content, quick reactions, and frequent updates so your channel feels active, approachable, and timely without requiring a full production cycle every time.

Upload Your First Short

Step 1: Start Upload

Select upload video under the green camera icon on the upper right-hand of the screen, then upload your short. A Short is any video that is 90 seconds or less, with a vertical or square aspect ratio.

An aspect ratio of 9:16 is recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I upload a Rumble Short?
To post a Rumble Short, upload exactly as you do today. If your video is vertical or square and 90 seconds or less, Rumble will automatically create it as a Short and play it in the Shorts player.
What qualifies as a Short?
A Short is any video that is 90 seconds or less, with a vertical or square aspect ratio. An aspect ratio of 9:16 is recommended.
Where will my Shorts appear?
Shorts appear in a personalized Shorts feed, on the home page, and in the Shorts tab on your channel. Shorts will be separated from other uploads so your regular content can still shine. Viewers watch them in a dedicated Shorts player.
Do I need a different thumbnail for Shorts?
Shorts uses a random frame of your video as the thumbnail. For best results, please use a thumbnail with an aspect ratio of 9:16 and a minimum size of 720x1280 pixels.
How does Shorts help with discovery?
The Shorts feed is continuously improving to promote creator discovery, using logged-in viewers' behavior and preferences to determine what to recommend.
Do Shorts affect my monetization?
The beta shorts experience is ad-free. Programmatic ad revenue will come in the future. For Tip Jar-enabled accounts, all shorts include a Tip button linked to the user’s Rumble Wallet.
When does Shorts roll out to the mobile apps?
Shorts will be fully rolled out to iOS and Android by late February.

New to Shorts Frequently Asked Questions:

I’ve never made a Short before. What’s the easiest way to start?
Start by clipping a moment from a livestream you already have on Rumble. Open your live in Rumble Studio, use the Rumble Studio clipping tool to select a highlight under 90 seconds, choose a vertical or square frame, and save. That clip will automatically be treated as a Rumble Short.
What is the Rumble Studio clipping tool, and how does it relate to Shorts?
The Rumble Studio clipping tool is Rumble’s built‑in way to turn longer videos into short highlights. When you use it to create a vertical or square clip that’s 90 seconds or less, that clip is automatically flagged as a Short and added to the Shorts experience.
Do I have to record new videos for Shorts, or can I just clip my existing content?
You can do either. Many creators start by using their existing videos to quickly generate Shorts, then later record Shorts‑first content once they see what performs.
How do I actually make a clip with the Rumble Studio clipping tool?
From Rumble Studio, open the Rumble Studio clipping tool, drag to select the moment you want, adjust the start and end so the clip is under 90 seconds, pick a vertical or square crop, preview it, and save. Once published, it will show up as a Short.
Where will my clips‑turned‑Shorts appear?
Any eligible clip you make with the Rumble Studio clipping tool appears in the Shorts player, in the global Shorts feed, and in the Shorts tab on your channel, just like an uploaded Short.
